Wordy Phrase & Redundancy Detector
TextScan text against a curated table of wordy, redundant phrases and get a suggested concise replacement for each occurrence.
Phrases like "due to the fact that", "in order to", and "at this point in time" pad a sentence without adding meaning, and they are easy to miss when you are the one who wrote them. This tool scans pasted text against a curated dictionary of common wordy and redundant constructions and reports every match with a suggested concise replacement, how many times it appears, and where. It also reports an overall density of flagged phrases per 100 words so you can gauge how much tightening a document needs at a glance. It is a heuristic pre-publish check rather than a grammar tool, so a flagged phrase is a candidate to tighten, not always wrong in context, and the suggested replacement is a starting point rather than a guaranteed drop-in fix. It runs entirely in your browser with no external calls.
